Dee Mistrik works tirelessly in the municipality of Jocotepec for the dogs and cats welfare, having started spay and neuter clinics and rabies vaccination clinics. The realities of working in smaller communities brought about further programming such as Community Outreach,  Education Programs and Feeding Programs. Now she has started working with a group of volunteers to transport healthy adoptable dogs north of the border to the U.S. and Canada.

Dee explained each organization working lakeside to help the communities and animals, including spay and neuter projects, shelters, fosters and rescuers. She  showed how we all fit together to complete the process of making the animals’ lives better, and improving the communities. Dee showed how these organizations and groups are different but are all working towards the same goal, which is to make a difference in the life of the animals and the Mexican people.
